Character 3D Artist

We’re Frozen Lake Studio, an art production studio with over 50 artists, animators, and producers, with our main office in Tallinn, Estonia, and a legal entity in Chișinău, Moldova. We work on diverse projects across 3D assets, concept art, 3D and 2D animation, and co-development, for multiple platforms like mobile, PC, consoles, VR, and AR.

We regularly collaborate with freelancers on various tasks across different game styles and platforms. This gives the opportunity to work on exciting projects and get to know our studio and processes. Many of our freelancers work with us long-term, with the potential to join our full-time team.


We are looking for a Freelance Character 3D Artist with experience in creating game-ready characters for PC/console projects. In our studio, you will be able to showcase your talent in various directions, becoming a part of big gaming projects:

  • Sculpting realistic and stylized characters;
  • Creating hair and fur through haircards or sculpting in Zbrush;
  • Working on creating clothing and accessory items;
  • Texturing clothing and characters;
  • Creating photorealistic faces;

We expect from you:

  • 3+ years of experience as a 3D Character Artist in the gaming industry;
  • Professional knowledge of Blender or Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter, Substance Designer, Marvelous Designer, etc.;
  • Understanding of topology and the ability to prepare a model for future animation;
  • Portfolio demonstrating your skills
